Dallas
Arnie and I flew back to California yesterday, after spending a few days in Dallas celebrating my friend Anne’s wedding. It was a wonderful weekend with friends, and the ceremony and reception was so much fun. I was a little nervous to travel with Arnie, but he did a pretty good job on the plane. Nap schedules were all over the place, and by the last night he was acting like a wild man. But overall, he was a good travel buddy!
It was so nice to spend time with my beautiful friends, as well as Anne and her family; it had been a long time since we were all together. We spent the day of the wedding at Anne’s house getting ready. She made a beautiful bride (no surprise there!). I ended up spending the ceremony watching Arnie throw rocks, but was lucky enough to hear the vows through the speakers. With a small toddler, you have to learn to roll with the punches.
I was happy to visit with my dad the day we arrived back in CA. He picked us up from the airport (on time!), and we had a nice lunch on the outdoor patio of Lazy Dog in Fremont. The weather was gorgeous and quite the relief from the Texas heat. We did a little shopping at Dick’s while Arnie ran around. It was a great end to a wonderful trip!
