Virginia
I had been feeling a bit of writer’s block, so I was really happy when I realized I could write a post about our upcoming trip to Virginia. It’s been a fun way to recap my travels throughout this summer and pick a few of my favorites pictures from each.
I’ve not been trying to put any pressure on this blog (or my new Instagram account), and I’ve been reminding myself that I’ve created this because it’s been fun. But, the disappointment and discouragement starts to set in. Feeling like I’m letting myself down if I don’t continue to produce. The small, negative voice in the back of my head that says, “we’ve been here before and you’ve quit before, so why would you think this time would be any different?” Well, it doesn’t matter. I’m trusting myself to enjoy the process along the way, and if this ever becomes un-fun… I can choose to pursue other things instead. I’ve proven to myself time and again that being open to guidance along the way allows me to be open to what life presents to me, instead of forcing myself to do what I think I “should” be doing.
Doors are always opening, new ideas are always flowing, and life is ever-evolving. We aren’t meant to make a choice and stick with it until the end of time (unless you want to). Life is full of choices, and we will always continue to make decisions that lead us down a variety of paths. Nothing is set in stone. It’s always changing.
Now, for the fun stuff. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our travels…
It was a wonderful few days with family. It feels special that Arnie has so many cousins. Virginia was kind of magical, and that had a lot to do with the company we were with. The beautiful weather and dolphins swimming in the ocean also contributed!
